Head – Interior Designs & Execution
Job Description:
- He/ She will work closely with the Business head and senior designers and project managers for project deliverables.
- Develop designs for corporate/ Residential interior projects, lead client presentations/pitches in the region, and collaboratively manage the studio with the business head.
- You will also have added responsibility of supporting business development efforts and managing & pitches and design presentations.
- Manage key clients’ projects working collaboratively with the Business Development and Execution teams.
- As part of the design leadership team, ensure the organization has an effective training program & mentor and motivate the design team to ensure performance and design excellence.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
Client Front:
- Ensure 100% satisfaction of clients in the designs and execution phase.
- Regular Site visits and update the progress of the site to clients.
- Quick review meets with clients on weekly basis and updates the status of the site and put forth for any challenges on site.
- Ensuring the site/ project team regularly updates the client on project status.
- Ensure smooth and excellent executions are delivered as per the client’s requirement.
Design Front
- Outline client design objectives.
- Conceptualize and sketch design plans.
- Determine cost of completion and project requirements in the budgeting phase.
- Set a timeline for the completion of an interior design project.
- Source materials and products included in plans.
- Create 'mood boards' to sample your design vision.
- Utilize computer applications in the design process.
- Inspect design after completion to determine whether client goals have been met
Team Front
- Work closely with team of designers and motivate them to get the designs
- Responsible to handle interior design & Execution team.
- Ensures that she/he is working at maximum quality and efficiency for his/her assigned tasks and deliverables; maintains billable efficiency rate of minimum 80%.
- Accepts and performs responsibility for redlines of delegated work and/or a complete package of deliverables, as may have been assigned based on his/her level of knowledge and expertise.
- Maintains a daily task list for assigned projects discussing time allotments and schedules, and delegations.
- Assists project teams to ensure delays are adequately documented.
- Prepares for regular project team meetings pertaining to project tasks, deliverables, and milestones.
- Actively produces/outputs high-level tasks and deliverables on multiple projects.
- Understands and demonstrates the need for open and direct communication both verbally and in writing.
- Understands and demonstrates the value and need to keep all team members informed of status of project and deliverables.
- Keeps open communication with all team members, monitoring work, lending feedback, redlining corrections, and reiterating/teaching the approved processes and procedures that are to be followed.
- Regularly reviews and checks sets of their team deliverables for accuracy, efficiency and thoroughness ensuring team is delivering a high-quality product.
- Leads team meetings to ensure all team members are participating and lending feedback. Motivates them and pushes them to bring ideas and solutions to the table.
Execution Front
- Demonstrates a highly organized and systematic approach to producing a project. Understand the necessity to keep team and project task lists updated and complete.
- Demonstrates a high degree of Time Management skill and constantly seeks to streamline processes and procedures to increase quality and efficiency.
- Keeps the Management team apprised of all project or HR issues that impact team dynamics or project goals.
- Support project team for weekly updates and assist teams with ‘What If’ scenarios to review alternate methods.
- Has proven capability to troubleshoot problems on-site and make quality recommendations to correct and move the project forward without compromising design intent.
- Ability to hand sketch solutions on-site that take into consideration all the areas that will be impacted by changes applying sound critical thinking skills.
- Ensure project timelines are met.
- Makes sure all meeting is documented with meeting minutes and copied to all members involved in the process, keeps updated Addendum log and RFI log as well as updated and organized project binders.
Job Requirement:
- Candidate having a minimum of 10-15yrs of similar experience is preferred.
- He/ She should be working/ leading a team at least for 3-5 Yrs.
- Should be proficient in English, Telugu & Hindi languages.
- B. Arch / similar degree is mandatory, M. Arch would be an added advantage.
- Should be a good team player and manager as well.
