Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and server systems.
- Network Monitoring & Security: Monitor network performance to maximize uptime and implement security solutions (VPNs, firewalls) to prevent threats.
- System Administration: Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords; maintain user email and data storage systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows/Linux), and hardware management.
- Experience: Generally 2–5 years of experience in network or system administration.
- Certifications: Often require or prefer certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or CompTIA Network+/Server+.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to diagnose and solve complex infrastructure issues.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical problems to non-IT employees.
